Sri Lankan Test squad announced for the Indian series

Sri Lanka Cricket today (25) announced a 18-member Test squad for the upcoming 2-match Test series against India. The first Test will played at Mohali followed by the second Test at Bengaluru which is a Day-night Test.

Lahiru Thirimanne has returned to the Test squad after opting out of the series against West Indies at home. Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella have returned to the Test squad. Leg spinner, Jeffrey Vandersay has earned his maiden Test call-up. Ramesh Mendis has been ruled out of the Indian Test series due to a fractured right thumb and Mendis will miss the 2-match test series against India. Ramesh is currently undergoing rehabilitation process.
