MS Dhoni steps down as Chennai Super Kings skipper





Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, MS Dhoni has decided to step down as the skipper ahead of the upcoming IPL season. Ravindra Jadeja has appointed as the new skipper for Chennai Super Kings. Jadeja will become the third skipper to lead the CSK franchise after MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina.

Jadeja was retained by Chennai Super Kings for 16 CRORE ahead of the IPL Mega Auction. This will also become the first time that MS Dhoni will be playing under a leader in the IPL. Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni since 2008, CSK has won 4 IPL titles. (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021).

Chennai Super Kings will play their first match of the season under Ravindra Jadeja's captaincy on 26, MAR against Kolkata Knight Riders.
